தலையங்கங்கள்: எழுதப்பட்டதும் எழுதப்படாததும்
தில்லியில் நடந்த தொடர் குண்டு வெடிப்புகள் பற்றி 'தினமணி' இன்று தலையங்கம் எழுதியிருக்கிறது. எதிர்பார்த்தது போலவே, அதன் முக்கிய நோக்கம் அந்த வன்முறைக்குக் காரணம் என்னவாக இருக்கும் என்பதை ஆராய்வது.
"இந்தியாவுக்கு எதிரான கொலைவெறி அமைப்புகளின் இப்போதைய தாக்குதலுக்கு காரணங்கள் பல இருக்கலாம்.
பாகிஸ்தான் ஆக்கிரமிப்பின் கீழ் உள்ள காஷ்மீர் பகுதியில் பூகம்பத்தால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட மக்களுக்கு உதவ எல்லைக்கட்டுப்பாட்டு கோட்டுப் பகுதியில் ஐந்து நிவாரண முகாம்களை அமைப்பது என இந்தியா - பாகிஸ்தான் இடையே உடன்பாடு ஏற்பட்டுள்ளது. இந்த இரு நாடுகளுக்கும் இடையில் சுமுக உறவுகள் ஏற்படாதவாறு தடுப்பது தீவிரவாத அமைப்புகளின் முக்கிய நோக்கம். இது அல்லாமல் தில்லி செங்கோட்டையில் 2002 டிசம்பர் 22-ம் தேதி தீவிரவாதிகள் நடத்திய தாக்குதல் தொடர்பான வழக்கில் சனிக்கிழமை தண்டனை அறிவிக்கப்படுவதாக இருந்தது. அதற்கு தங்கள் எதிர்ப்பைத் தெரிவிக்க தீவிரவாத அமைப்புகள் விரும்பி இருக்கலாம்.
ஈரானின் அணுசக்தி திட்டம் தொடர்பான விவகாரத்தில் சர்வதேச அணுசக்தி ஏஜென்சி கூட்டத்தில் ஈரானுக்கு எதிராக இந்தியா வாக்களித்தது. இந்த விவகாரத்தில் அமெரிக்கா பக்கம் இந்தியா சேர்ந்துகொண்டு விட்டதாக ஒரு பிரசாரம் நடத்தப்படுகிறது. ஆகவே இந்தியாவுக்கு "பாடம் புகட்டுவதற்காகவும்' இந்த வெடிகுண்டுத் தாக்குதல் நடத்தப்பட்டிருக்கலாம்.
தீபாவளி, ரம்ஜான் பண்டிகைகள் கொண்டாடப்பட இருக்கும் வேளையில், இத்தாக்குதல்களை நடத்தினால் மக்களிடையே பெரும் பீதியை கிளப்ப முடியும் என்றும் தீவிரவாதிகள் கருதி இருக்கலாம்."
அப்பா, என்ன ஒரு முனைப்பு! இதில் பாதி செய்திகள் அந்தத் தீவிரவாதிகளுக்குக் கூடத் தெரிந்திருக்காது! இந்த காலத்தில் தீவிரவாதியாக இருப்பது எத்தனை சௌகரியமான விஷயம் என்று புரிகிறது. எப்பொழுது வேண்டுமானாலும் என்ன வேண்டுமானாலும் செய்யலாம், காரணங்களை மற்றவர்கள் தாமே கண்டு பிடித்துக் கொள்வார்கள்.
தலையங்கம் தொடர்கிறது:
"பொதுவாக காரணம் இன்றி அப்பாவி மக்களைக் கொல்ல யாருக்கும் மனம் வராது."
ஆமாமாம், பெரிய நீதிமான்கள் ஆயிற்றே இந்தத் தீவிரவாதிகள்! விட்டால் எங்கள் நாட்டுத் தீவிரவாதிகள் மற்ற நாட்டுத் தீவிரவாதிகளைக் காட்டிலும் ரொம்ப ஒழுக்கமானவர்கள் என்று ஜம்பமடிக்க ஆரம்பித்து விடுவார்கள்! அதென்ன "காரணம் இன்றி"? அப்பாவி மக்களைக் கொல்ல என்ன காரணம் இருக்க முடியும்?
பின்னர்:
"ஆனால், கொலைவெறி கொண்ட தீவிரவாதிகள், மூளைச்சலவை செய்யப்பட்டவர்கள். குண்டுகளை வைத்து பலரைக் கொல்வதை அவர்கள் ஒரு கடமைபோல கருதுகிறார்கள்."
எல்லா திசையிலும் முட்டி மோதி விட்டு, கடைசியில் உண்மையிடம் சரண்டர்.
இது தினமணி என்றால், எழுதப்படாத தலையங்கம் வெளிவராத நாளிதழ் ஹிந்து. திட்டமிட்டு நடத்தப்பட்ட, சர்வதேச கவனம் பெற்ற, எழுபது உயிர்களை தலைநகரில் பலி கொண்ட, தொடர் குண்டு வெடிப்புகள் பற்றி நிகழ்ச்சி நடந்த இரண்டு நாட்களில் தலையங்கம் இல்லை.
ஏதாவது தப்பித்தவறி எழுதப்போய், பாகிஸ்தானின் மனது கோணும்படி ஆகி விடுமோ என்று அஞ்சுகிறார்களா, அல்லது இந்த குண்டுவெடிப்புகள் நிகழ்த்தும் அளவிற்குத் தீவிரவாதிகளைத் தள்ளிய உண்மையான காரணங்கள் என்னவாக இருந்திருக்கும் என்று இன்னமும் யோசித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார்களா என்று தெரியவில்லை.
Update: ஹிந்து இன்று (செவ்வாய்) தலையங்கம் எழுதியிருக்கிறது. "Whether the bombings were a one-off attack intended to avenge the conviction of Lashkar cadre involved in an earlier terrorist attack on the Red Fort," என்று ஆரம்பத்தில் காரணம் சுட்ட முயன்றாலும், முடிவில்,
"In the past, official Indian responses to such crises have been in the nature of either ill-tempered growling or hear-no-evil silence. Neither will suit the current situation. India must not step back from a peace process that has yielded real gains for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Nor must it gloss over the pain of the victims of the inhuman serial bombings."
என்று எழுதியது சரியான வார்த்தைகள்தாம்.

Thanks for the link, just finished reading it (long article!).
I have great admiration for M.D - she is sharp, witty, insightful, and, let's be honest, one heck of a babe in her forties. :-) "an absurdly charming little laugh, a pert toss of the head, an air of saucy triumph, dewy eyes" - she could have been writing about herself - have you seen her in MTP with Tim?
The article was a fun read, but in terms of its content, seriously, what do I know? The thesis of her article is summed up in "It took women a few decades to realize that everything they were doing to advance themselves in the boardroom could be sabotaging their chances in the bedroom, that evolution was lagging behind equality." That sounds depressing at some level, and understandable/unsurprising at another.
The lady of my house does not go to work, not by choice, but by situation. She is a great mother, and makes one killer milagu rasam - both of which are important to both of us, and that keeps us happy.

I doubt these media personallities have certain format to write "Thalayangam". Whatever terrrorist attack without knowing the background details, they simply throw silly reasons and blame some unknown person and end up the column by saying that Government officials should take necessary steps, blah, blah...
It's really shocking news that Hindu & Dinamani are also in the same category!

Delhi, and the Indo-Pakistani peace process, under attack | Economist.com: "Two days after the Delhi bombings, Pakistan’s president, Pervez Musharraf, called again for the “demilitarisation” of Kashmir. India, smarting from the terrorist attack, and exasperated at General Musharraf’s habit of negotiating through press conferences, sniffily ignored him.
The killings have gone on, even since the earthquake. Seven people died in a suicide car-bombing in the outskirts of Srinagar, capital of Indian Kashmir, on November 2nd, the day a new chief minister of the Indian state of Jammu & Kashmir took office in the city. The bomber was said to be a resident of Pakistani-controlled Kashmir.
The militants may also want to disprove reports that the earthquake, having destroyed some of their training camps in Pakistani Kashmir, has severely dented their strength. Or perhaps they wanted to mark the sentencing, on October 31st, in the trial of militants accused of an earlier attack in Delhi, in 2000.
In the long run, however, India’s prime minister, Manmohan Singh, may find it harder to make rapid progress. On October 31st, he told General Musharraf by telephone that India had “indications” of the bombers’ “external linkages”—ie, India suspects Pakistan is involved.
To the horror of some liberals in Pakistan as well as Indian observers, they have played a prominent role in relief work after the earthquake, sometimes with logistical support from the Pakistan army.
